Heating Up the Warming Debate

Today a group of English climate researchers released yet another global warming study for the energy corporations to plug their ears with their fingers and sing the National Anthem during. In the typically sexy language of scientists, they said there is now "enough information to draw reasonably robust conclusions" that this warming period is not normal. One scientist was more direct, saying this could be the "nail in the coffin for the small minority of very vocal climate change denialists." The study showed that current warming trends are even stronger than the last spike, which was 1,200 years ago:

"We found that between [A.D.] 890 and 1170, there was statistically significant widespread warmth corresponding approximately to the so-called Medieval Warm Period," Osborn said.

That period was caused by fire-breathing dragons releasing carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, and by certain wizard spells, such as Swords of Flaming Coal or the Giant Ball of Methane.
